Who can Register for FMCS Certification:
BIS FMCS Registration (Foreign Manufacturers Certification Scheme) grants licenses to Foreign or International organizations to use Standard marks, ensuring conformity with Indian Standards. Inspection of overseas manufacturing units is conducted to verify compliance with BIS standards. All manufacturers, except those in Electronics and Information Technology, can use FMCS certification.

Presence of Manufacturing Equipment and Testing Facilities on-site
Accessibility of in-house product testing equipment and quality control personnel
Acceptance of Scheme of Inspection and Testing

Registration Fee for BIS FMCS Certification:
Applicant Fee (Non Refundable): ₹1,000
Special Visit Charges: ₹7,000 per man-day
Testing Charges: As Applicable
Annual License Fee: ₹1,000
Renewal Application Fee (Non Refundable): ₹1,000
Late Fee for Renewal: ₹5,000
Marking Fee: As Applicable
Issue of Duplicate Licence: ₹1,000
Validity and Renewal of BIS FMCS Certificate:
Certification is valid for 2 years.
Renewal is possible if no changes to products or mandated standards.
Renewed Certificate valid for 1 to 5 years.
Minimum marking fee and licence fee applicable for renewal.
Late fee of ₹5,000 if renewed after expiry.
