Process of BIS FMCS for Capacitors:
Preparation: Accept all BIS FMCS terms. Gather required documents: manufacturing process, machinery list, business license, laboratory reports, raw materials list, etc.
Registration Form: Register online or offline in Delhi at the FMCD department. Pay the registration fee. Provide accurate information in the application form.
Issue Raised (if any): Authorities consider only complete and error-free applications. Organizations are notified of issues via email.
Nomination of AIR: Choose an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) to represent the organization to BIS authorities. AIR must be an Indian resident with knowledge of government policies.
Factory Audit: Pay the audit fee. BIS officials visit the production facility to evaluate efficiency, quality control, manufacturing process, etc.
Product Sample: Gather capacitor samples for quality assessment. Evaluate samples at internal and BIS-approved laboratories.
Laboratory Results: Unfavorable results halt the license issuance process. Favorable results allow the process to proceed.
Issuance of Certification: Pay the FMCS license fee and advance minimum marking cost. Receive an FMCS license upon completion.
Indemnity Bond and PBG: Sign an indemnity bond. Pay USD 10,000 as Performance Bank Guarantee.
