Devoid of visible defects like bubbles, scratches, and streaks.
Uniform thickness and smooth surface as per relevant standard specifications.
Minimum transmittance of 90%.
Must support a weight of at least 100 kg/m2.
Protective packaging using wooden cases and anti-shock materials.

Nomination of AIR: Appoint an Authorized Indian Representative (AIR) knowledgeable about FMCS and transparent float glass, and a resident of India.
Factory Audit: Manufacturers cover the audit expenses. BIS representatives assess the entire production cycle, including machinery efficiency, quality control adherence, and raw material usage.
Product Sample: BIS personnel assess the Transparent Float Glass's performance, reliability, quality, and safety using samples. Testing occurs in both internal and BIS-approved laboratories.
Laboratory Results: Unfavorable results halt the license-issuing process. Favorable results lead to the continuation of the FMCS license issuance process.
Issuance of Certification: Pay both the FMCS license fee and the advance minimum marking cost. Receive an FMCS license if fees are paid and prerequisites are met.
Indemnity Bond and PBG: Sign an indemnity bond. Pay USD 10,000 as Performance Bank Guarantee.

Validity of BIS FMCS for Transparent Float Glass:

Initial certification is valid for two years.
Renewal fee payment leads to renewed certificates valid for one to five years.
Late renewal incurs a Rs 5,000 fee.

Fee for BIS FMCS Registration:
Lab Test: ₹25,000 + GST
Application Fee: ₹53,000 + GST
Professional Fee: ₹10,000 + GST
Validity of FMCS Registration: 2 years
Renewal Fee: Same as the application fee, with an additional professional fee of ₹7,500 + GST.
